Federal Reserve officials saw slack in the job market and worried about China's economic slowdown as they considered lifting near-zero interest rates last month, a Fed report said Wednesday.
Most participants at the Federal Open Market Committee said that conditions for the first rate hike in more than nine years "were approaching" but had not yet been met, according to the minutes of their July 28-29 meeting.
