US: Iran aided global attacks in 2014 despite talks

Iran continued to sponsor global terror attacks in 2014 and supplied arms to the Syrian regime even though it was engaged in talks to rein in its nuclear program, a US report said Friday.
The Iranian Republic backed groups such as the Lebanese Hezbollah and Hamas militants in the Gaza Strip, and also used Shiite militia to "claim credit" for successes against Islamic State militants in Iraq and "to belittle coalition airstrikes," the State Department's annual 2014 Country Reports said.
