Police have detained 26 people in a massive Europe-wide sweep against horsemeat traffickers, the EU's judicial agency Eurojust said Saturday.
The arrests of the suspected members of what Eurojust called an "organised criminal network" comes two years after a scandal across the EU over horsemeat being fraudulently passed off as beef into the European food chain.
