Modi vows to punish those behind Indian Kashmir base attack

Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi vowed to punish those responsible for Sunday's "despicable" and "cowardly" attack on an army base in Indian-administered Kashmir that left 17 soldiers dead.
"We strongly condemn the cowardly terror attack in Uri. I assure the nation that those behind this despicable attack will not go unpunished," Modi said in a tweet following the raid on the base in the Uri area.
