German safety body ordered to pay 60mn euros to breast implant victims

A French court on Friday ordered German safety body TUV to pay 60 million euros ($64 million) in compensation to 20,000 women who received defective breast implants certified as safe for use. The court found TUV liable over a global scandal which erupted in 2010 involving implants filled with industrial-grade silicone. |
