Egyptian actress Laila Elwy expressed her pleasure for the visit she conducted to Bahia Hospital to treat breast cancer, stressing her keenness to support any initiative aiming to support the patients. She added that it her role as an artist to participate in resolving the problems facing the community.

She added, in a statement to “Arabs Today”, that she was keen to visit the hospital to express solidarity with the patients. She revealed that she is currently preoccupied in considering a number of scenarios to decide whether to accept any of them or not.

She expressed her pleasure for meeting with a number of patients who stressed their desire to challenge this disease to protect their lives and their children, saying, “I pray to all of them to get well really soon.”

She added, in a statement to "Arabs Today", that the Egyptian woman is strong and able to confront this illness, saying that she can work to eliminate it. She stressed the need for increasing the public awareness over the ways to protect the women from this danger.
