Damascus - Rajaa Aisami
Syrian actor Firas Ibrahim has put up a post on his Facebook page saying: "In order to continue this life, we have to forget a lot of things that have happened to us. However, nowadays in order to go on with life we should not forget what has happened to us at all. At peace time children bury their parents and at war time parents bury their sons." Firas also expressed his regret towards what the events in his country, saying: "I cannot believe that there is a Syrian person killing his brother and mutilating his corpse like that!" Firas condemned the crackdown, saying: "What is happening and why is it so? Is killing, arson and sabotage the only ways for reforms? Is this the perfect image we'd like show the world? Wake up! We are all brothers and sisters. What is happening is wrong and forbidden and is not suitable for us as a civilized nation."
