Cairo - Khaled Ali
Egyptian actress Yussra has denied accusations of typecasting, after some reports suggested her role in upcoming series They Do Not Eat Artichokes was very similar to Sherbert Luz, released last Ramadan. “I don’t repeat roles - ever,” Yussra said, hitting back at her critics. Speaking exclusively to Arabstoday, Yussra said: “I don’t know where these rumours come from? They Do Not Eat Artichokes hasn’t even been finished yet! Can they read the writer’s mind or something?” The actress said she would not take a role if it repeated something she had done before. They Do Not Eat Artichokes, starring Rajaa Jiddawi and Mustafa Fahmi and directed by Ghada Salim, is a working title and could be subject to change, Yussra revealed.
