Egyptian actress Laila Alawi filming new TV show

Egyptian actress Laila Alawi began filming of her television drama, Laila wedding, on Tuesday. The show is scheduled to be broadcast next Ramadan in July. Alawi added: "I was supposed to present this story in a movie with the same name but I preferred the format of a TV series as the topic is important and needs more space. We will make 30 episodes of the drama." The series screenplay and dialogue were written by Amr Dali and it is directed by Khaled Hajar who previously directed Love of the Girls which stared Alawi.
