Cairo - Arabstoday

Egyptian actor Ahmad Al Saqqa has sent a message to the Egyptian police force to take strong measures against all criminals roaming in the streets to avoid turning Egypt into a country of outlaws and thugs. Ahmad had posted a letter on his official page on the social internet website Facebook, which came in response to a message received from the operations officer of the Central security thanking him for reflecting the seriousness and danger of police officers in his latest film “Al Maslaha” (The Profession). Ahmad thanked the officer and stressed to him that the role he plays in making Egypt a safe country is more important than any acting job he or anyone else takes part in. The actor called to deal with outlaws firmly and said to hit with a fist of iron every bully and put away everyone who thinks they can take the law into their own hands to turn Egypt a land of chaos. The officer named Saed Ahmad has posted a letter on Al Sakka’s page attached with a apicture of him on duty. Many Facebook members interacted with the letter and Al Sakka’s reply saying that the message reflects how they feel and what they want, in terms of making Egypt a safe country.  Some members requested that Al Sakka makes some alterations to his request of dealing with outlaws with an iron fist, saying that in addition to criminals, corrupt police officers should also be dealt with in the same manner in order to make the country a truly safe place for everyone. Egypt is currently experiencing an outburst of  killings and acts of bullying because of the lack of security since the outbreak of the January 25 Revolution. Despite the fact that many police officers have returned to their jobs, people still fear greatly for their lives and the lives of their families.
