Minister of Immigration and Expatriate Affairs Nabila Makram said on Thursday that her ministry gives priority to combating illegal migration
In a statement, Makram said a campaign will be launched to spread awareness among youths about risks of illegal immigration.
The campaign will focus on governorates and villages, which witness high rates of illegal immigration, the minister said.
Makram added that a Suhoor (pre-dawn meal) banquet will be held tonight to discuss the latest developments of the national anti-illegal immigration campaign.
A number of European ambassadors to Egypt and parliamentarians will attend the Suhoor.
